RICDENIS wishes to provide a school environment that is safe, conducive to learning, and free from unnecessary disruption. Behavior that is detrimental to the welfare or safety of other students or school personnel, or behavior which interferes with the school's ability to provide educational opportunities to other students will be considered inappropriate. Students found to be in violation of the Student Code of Conduct will be removed from class until such time as the instructor and Training Coordinator determine appropriate disciplinary action. The following violations will result in appropriate disciplinary action including removal from school, return under contract, or immediate expulsion:
Carrying, bringing, using, or possessing a dangerous weapon.
Verbal abuse or harassment of teachers, students, and staff.
Willful defiance of authority.
Fighting, assault, threat of bodily harm, or sexual harassment.
Distribution, possession, use, or being under the influence of alcohol, an illegal drug, or controlled substances as defined.
Cult-related activities and such cult-related characteristics as colours, hand signs, graffiti, apparel, jewelry, notebooks, trademarks, and any other attributes denoting cult affiliation.
Destroying or defacing public property or theft of school or personal property of others.
Dishonesty, such as cheating, plagiarism, or knowingly furnishing false information.
Forgery, alteration, or misuse of school documents, records, identification materials, educational materials and Internet access or school property.
Use of obscenities or vulgarities.
Gambling, wagering, or betting of any type, either on or about the premises.
Unauthorized entry or use of school facilities and equipment.
Unauthorized distribution or sale of goods, or unauthorized postings of materials on school bulletin boards or building surfaces.
Smoking in any of the RICDENIS classrooms, offices, call shop, cybercafé or on RICDENIS property.
Food or drink brought to or consumed in the classroom.
Students bringing children to class or leaving children unattended or unsupervised on school property or grounds.
Walkman-type radios, cellular phones, pagers, or any similar form of electronic device in use during class.
Any form of dress that is determined to be disruptive to the educational process which includes wearing shorts, halters, or other garments that tend to expose the body or wearing cult "rags" and/or "colours."
Other conduct policies developed within individual sections, classrooms or programmes.
These policies have been developed to provide an optimum learning environment for all.
STUDENT RULES AND REGULATIONS
Students are required to switch off their cell phone when they in the class.
Student’s orientation class is compulsory for all new students. Failure to participate in the orientation may disqualify a student from belonging to any group.
It is an offence for any student to go into the lecture room forcefully without submitting his/her ID card to the authorized officer/officers of the college.
Any student who fails to come to lecture with his or her identity card shall not be allowed entry into the class.
No student has the right to call out a fellow student from class for any visitor. Violation of this will attract suspension or expulsion from the college. It is the reserved right if the registrar or the coordinator to do this.
No student is allowed to bring in a visitor into the class fro any reason.
No student is allowed to go into any other group except the group he or she belongs. Any violation of this will be seriously dealt with.
No student is allowed to put the class to any other use other than for lectures only. Also, no student is allowed to do any thing different from what the class is doing at any particular time.
No fee is refundable to student who withdraws from the college for whatever reason after registration.
Student must present their receipts for payments made to the office whenever called upon to do so.
On admission, every student shall pay his/her school fees in full. In a situation where installmental payment is approved, total fees must be paid four weeks before date of completion of the programme.
Student class attendance is compulsory. Every student is required to complete his/her course of study according to the schedule. Deferment of study is prohibited.
Any student who drops out of school shall not be refunded any fee. Where such student has not paid his or her school fees in full, the college will be compelled to collect such debts through any legal means and the cost of legal fees incurred in the process of recovering the fees shall be refunded by the student.
Any student expelled from this college for any misconduct shall NOT be refunded any part/whole of whatever he/she paid.
Class assignment to student is compulsory and student who is not up to date in his/her assignment shall be disqualified from the final exams.
Students are required to pass the entire course they registered for in order to qualify for the college/Imo State University Certificate.
Any damage to the college property by any student should be repaired/replaced by the student responsible for the damage.
No circumstances should compel any student to quarrel/fight in the class.
Swapping of registration or enrollment is not allowed.
